'Jackass' Star Ryan Dunn Dies In Car Crash

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died in a car crash in Pennsylvania early this morning ... TMZ has confirmed with Bam Margera's mother.
Ryan Dunn Dead

34-year-old Dunn appeared in all of the "Jackass" movies -- famously shoving a toy car into his rectum in the first flick back in 2002.

Dunn and an unidentified person both died in the crash which happened around 3 a.m. at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. It's unclear who was driving the car.

We're told the car caught fire in the crash -- and hours later, a tow truck was called to the scene to remove the charred wreckage.

RIP Ryan Dunn, friend to BMX

As the world continues to mourn the loss of 'Jackass' star Ryan Dunn, who was killed in a car crash early Monday morning, the BMX world reflects on the loss of an inspiration, supporter and close friend to BMX.
Dunn, 34, who grew up in the West Chester, Pa. area, was a close friend of Little Devil and Orchid Footwear owner Derek Adams. And during Dunn's early career as a comedic stuntman in videos such as the CKY series, Dunn often wore Little Devil Clothing to support the burgeoning BMX clothing brand.
When Dunn, along with friend Bam Margera, made the jump to the 'Jackass' TV series, Dunn continued to wear Little Devil Clothing. Dunn also appeared in the intro to Little Devil's legendary video "Criminal Mischief," performing CKY and 'Jackass' influenced stunts. He even made the trek up to Binghamton, N.Y. for the world premiere of the 2001 BMX classic.
"I'm at a loss for words over the death of our friend Ryan. I'm still trying to process it. He had such a lust for life, it's hard to imagine him being gone. Thanks for being such an awesome dude for 34 years. Live fast, die young I guess," said Derek Adams on the Orchid Footwear site yesterday.
But Dunn's BMX influence didn't end with the premiere of the Little Devil video. During the production of Jackass' TV show and movies, Dunn was often featured as the BMX go-to when Jackass' brand of stunts involving a BMX bike were performed, including the BMX Tug-of-War.
Courtesy of Orchid FootwearDunn always did his best to support Derek Adams and Trans Am Distribution brands, including Square One Apparel.
During the skit, Dunn wore a Hoffman Bikes/Evel Knievel collaboration helmet and rode an early model Fit Bike Co. complete. He was positioned on the bike in front of a set of dirt doubles with a cactus in the middle, and attached to his waist was a rope, which was also attached to Jackass cast member Preston Lacey. "Goddamn, this is the BMX tug-of-war," said Dunn, and before he could clear the jump, he was yanked backwards into the cactus.
I know the loss of Dunn affects a great number of people, including his family, friends and fellow members of the Jackass crew, but I at least wanted to take the time to acknowledge his comedic and self-deprecating contributions to BMX throughout his career as an actor, stuntman and reality TV star.
Thanks for making the world a funnier place Ryan Dunn, and thanks for driving over that handrail in a late model American sedan after Van Homan grinded it in the introduction to "Criminal Mischief."
